CranioSacral Therapy is a light touch approach to working with your body to release tension and increase fluid flow at the deep level of your nervous system.
CranioSacral Therapy is performed fully clothed on a massage table, as your therapist I gently connect with areas of your body that cause you physical or emotional pain and “support” the area so you don’t have to. Working at this level, you will notice a relaxing in the tone of your body and connect with your innate healing abilities and inner wisdom.
You are able to let go of, and understand long held pain patterns, in so doing your energy and optimism increases as the pain decreases.
SomatoEmotional Release (SER)
SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is an aspect of CranioSacral Therapy. It is what happens in a session when an energetic pathway is opened allowing trapped emotions to flow out of your body. Often, gentle movement is explored to integrate self-correcting changes.
Working with your whole being, especially at the site of the trauma, I am trained to deeply facilitate the release of the stuck emotions. I work with you to find the source of your pain and transform it.

What are Somatic sessions like?
Your body sensations are the lens through which we focus our sessions. Bringing awareness to your felt/sense and naming them supports your understanding and healing of trauma.
Somatic processes include hands-on facilitation as a means of focusing and increasing proprioceptive awareness. We will discuss intentional touch and your comfort with it, prior to beginning, and revisit as needed during our work together. Please come in clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in.
Depending on your needs, appointments run either 60 or 90 minutes. Before the session begins, we discuss how you are feeling and set an intention for your healing time. In sessions, people often feel their body and mind dropping into a deeply relaxed state. Soft lighting in the treatment room supports a calm atmosphere for healing. People often experience relaxation, release of muscle tension and pain, insights, and a sense of lightness and peace.
I consider you to be the expert on yourself. In any session, I answer any questions you may have about what is occurring or what to expect after the treatment. In general, people feel a difference in their pain within three to six sessions.
