COVID-19

How we protect you

Your health and Safety is the utmost priority.

The concern around COVID-19 (coronavirus) is ongoing. I have added online electronic sessions as a means to provide care for clients. I am currently using INKBLOT as my telehealth platform. It is Phipa approved (Personal Health Information Protection Act). I will maintain this electronic access for the foreseeable future. Please contact me to book a session.
As of May 19, Psychotherapists are in Phase I of the returning to workplace in Ontario. With our intent to gradually return to an “in person” treatment approach, we want to let you know what we are doing at our respective offices to help keep everyone protected.

Health, safety and hygiene policies and protocols

  • We have removed magazines and reduced the number of seats available to maintain social distancing.
  • We have signage supporting protocols (look to the floors and walls).
  • We are adjusting schedules to allow time in between sessions for airing of space and no overlap of people.
  • If you are early for your appointment, we ask you to wait in your car so that physical distancing can be maintained. We will be in contact via text.
  • If you do not have devices available, we ask that you plan to arrive closer to your appointed time.
  • We, have purchased HEPPA air purifiers for our offices, and can open windows in session

Cleaning

All cleaning will be done at a higher frequency, especially for frequently touched objects, surface areas, and common areas, doors, railways, faucets and handles in public spaces.
We have protocols for wiping down surfaces beginning and end of day, and between visits.
We have hand sanitizer at every door. Please use this upon entry to the office.

Masks/Consent

I wear a mask if a client wishes, I provide masks as well.
I am taking extra precautions with intake of each client. When we first meet, I have a waiver designed by the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. Please answer these questions truthfully Clients must sign this form before we start work.

If/when I do any hands on work, I wear a mask and a face shield.

So we may continue to do our best to stop the spread, this is the new way to practice.

Please note I will keep electronic sessions as an option. If on the day of your session you are not up to coming in to the office – we can meet online.

What you can do

If you are sick, please stay home. I have removed my 24-hour cancellation fee for those who wake up sick on the day of their appointment or get quarantined on short notice.
If you don’t feel comfortable getting to the office, please cancel ahead of time, with as much notice as possible, so someone else can benefit from that appointment time slot.
I encourage all of you to do everything you can to stay healthy and strengthen your immune systems. Please follow recommended tips:

  • Wash your hands
  • Get sleep
  • Find a way to be in nature
  • Exercise and meditate
  • Load up on Vitamin C and D
  • Eat lots of vegetables
  • Avoid sugar and alcohol
  • Drink lots of water
  • Above all – Reduce exposure to sensationalized news reports

Based on our physical distancing practices, increased cleaning initiatives, and the relatively lower foot traffic associated our office, we feel it will be a safe environment for you to continue with your sessions in person.
